King Charles released a new message after a report claimed that Princess Kate caused 'panic' in the Palace with a last-minute decision about a key appearance.

On June 20, the official Instagram page of the royal family posted a delightful photo of Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester, to celebrate her 79th birthday.

"Happy Birthday to The Duchess of Gloucester," the King's team wrote over her picture.

Notably, the monarch honoured the special member of the royal family on her birthday amid Catherine's new health update.

For the unversed, Kensington Palace informed Ascot officials about the withdrawal of Kate Middleton from the event, citing that the future Queen left 'disappointed' of not joining her husband Prince William and senior royals.

Soon after the decision, several royal experts and fans expressed concerns about the Princess of Wales' health, as she is still not fully recovered.

As per Daily Beast, the announcement caused panic in the Palace and the royal aides were "bewildered and worried" about Catherine, who is in remission from cancer.

The source shared that "rumours had briefly swirled around the palace that the future queen had been taken unwell and either needed to see a doctor or had been rushed to the hospital."

There have been no official comments from Kensington Palace regarding Princess Kate's health.

The mother-of-three announced her cancer diagnosis in March 2024.

She underwent preventative chemotherapy for a few months, and in 2025, the Princess of Wales revealed that she was in remission from cancer.

Since then, Kate Middleton marked a gradual return to royal duties while also prioritising her health.
