Meghan Markle's 'Baby Momma Dance' video goes viral with Gen Z
The Instagram reel has racked up an impressive 40.7 million views just days after being posted
Meghan Markle delights Gen Z with her 'hilarious' twerking maternity video, a source close to Sussex.
The 43-year-old Duchess of Sussex is reportedly 'pleased' with the response to the viral video she shared last week, despite facing criticism.
To note, Meghan posted a lighthearted video clip of herself and Prince Harry dancing in celebration of their daughter Princess Lilibet's fourth birthday.
The video, originally filmed in 2021, features the couple dancing in a hospital delivery home as they awaited Lilibet's birth, set to viral track The Baby Momma Dance by Starrkeisha.
While the video sparked backlash in the UK, a source close to the Sussexes told the Daily Mail that Meghan is 'pleased' with the overall reaction.
'In the UK everyone's reaction has been a bit prudish but everywhere else, particularly in America and especially with young people, it has been a huge hit.'
'Meghan does not care about the haters in Britain calling her vulgar. Americans thought the twerking video was hilarious and relatable,' the source added.
The source explained, 'Meghan wants to connect with Gen Z which demands viral moments. She does not care about the UK because that's not where the money is.'
Interestingly, as of June 8, the Instagram reel has racked up an impressive 40.7 million views just days after being posted.
