Sophie praised as 'true asset' to Royals during outing with Prince William
The 60-year-old royal is married to Prince Edward
Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, received high praise from royal fans as she accompanied Prince William to the Royal Cornwall Show on Friday, where the duo represented the monarchy at one of the UK's top agricultural events.
The 60-year-old royal, married to Prince Edward, teamed with her nephew, the Prince of Wales, for the engagement, with both attending in their roles as patrons of farming and rural organisations.
Their visit kicked off at the Royal Cornwall Food and Farming Pavilion, where they explored displays from a variety of local food and drink producers across the region.
During the tour, the Duchess and Prince William were spotted sampling cider and gin, placing his hand on his neck and laughing.
Social media lit up with admiration following the visit.
'Sophie is such an asset to the RF! She works so hard. Great to see this aunt and nephew outing,' one fan responded to an official post documenting the event on Instagram.
Another wrote: 'The Duchess is an absolute asset to the Royal Family-so graceful and elegant. 'It was a lovely engagement!
The Edinburgh's and the Waleses are always great together,' a third glowed. A fourth added: 'Great to see the Prince of Wales with his aunt. I think that they have so much fun together.'
This outing marked Sophie's return to the Royal Cornwall Show after a decade, her last visit being in 2014.
