Queen Camilla faces fresh fears as she returns to UK with King Charles
Queen Camilla ‘rattled’ as she faces major challenge for King Charles
King Charles and Queen Camilla wrapped their whirlwind tour to Canada as they made their return to the UK on Tuesday.
Camilla has been a strong support for her husband, especially as the king continues his cancer treatment. However, the Queen had to endure through a major challenge as she accompanied Charles during the 20-hour trip.
According to former royal butler Grant Harrold, Camilla was gripped by fear as during her travels to Canada as the royal couple marked a historic trip.
“While she has to travel all over the world, flying was never her favourite mode of transport,” the former staffer shared, adding that the 77-year-old is “definitely not a fan of flying”.
He explained that Camilla is not really afraid of the height but it is “more the turbulence” which rattles her.
“Even though she has this fear, she deals with it when she does have to travel,” Harrold added.
The former butler shared that when the members of the royal family fly, “there are no security checks, no scanners, and no limited luggage” and they experience “luxury” in the air. They enjoy snacks at the VIP lounge and “walk straight onto the plane without a ticket”.
Moreover, they even have a menu to choose their own meals during the flight. However, the downside is the size of the jet, which is the real problem.
“It's a jet, which means you get to experience luxury, and it’s a nice way to travel. But the downside of these jets, when I would be on them, is they were obviously small and very prone to turbulence,” the former butler explained.
