Prince William reveals why he left Kate Middleton, Charlotte, Louis behind
The Prince of Wales brought his eldest son, Prince George, to Paris for Aston Villa's big game
Prince William spent some quality time with his eldest son in Paris, leaving Kate Middleton and their two other children behind.
While he and Prince George were spotted in the stands at PSG’s Parc des Princes stadium for the Champions League clash against Aston Villa, the rest of the Wales family stayed home.
Speaking to TNT Sports, William revealed, “I’ve left the other two at home, probably watching tonight, so we’ll wait and see who they support.”
The Princess of Wales, along with Charlotte, 9, and Louis, 6, sat this one out, likely enjoying the match from the comfort of home.
The father-son outing was a big moment for George, 11, who William said was getting a proper “experience [of] a night out away from home in a big competition.” Joining them in the stands was Thomas van Straubenzee, Princess Charlotte’s godfather.
While William said he’s “generally very open” to his kids supporting whoever they like, he admits he’s “a bit biased.”
So far, it looks like George is following in his dad’s football-loving footsteps, having already attended major matches like the Euro 2024 and Euro 2020 finals.
With the Wales family on Easter break from royal duties, they’re likely enjoying some downtime at their countryside retreat, Anmer Hall, in Norfolk.
The royals may next appear publicly at the annual Easter Sunday service on April 20.
