‘Severance’ producer Ben Stiller addresses fan theories about Season 3

Severance has blown fans’ minds and people are still figuring out the secrets of Lumon after the Season 2 finale, and Ben Stiller is keeping an eye on them.

The fan-favourite show has a list of theories at this point and Stiller has addressed them for the first time.

During an interview at Severance’s For Your Consideration event and panel at Bell Works in New Jersey, on Saturday, April 5th, the executive producer of the show told People Magazine that he does engage with the theories about the show.

“I will dip into how people react, usually if they like it, it's great. And if they don't like it, then I stop dipping in," he said.

Stiller was asked if the fan theories have an impact on where the show goes, to which he responded, “No, I think you have to like take all that with a grain of salt and sort of appreciate that everybody has different ideas, but we have to have our own sort of clear idea of what we're doing that is independent of that.”

The actor added, “the period of time when we're shooting, we're always in this bubble and kind of just doing it.”

However, he noted that he enjoys the fact that people are so involved, saying, “So it's been fun though to see how much people are engaging with the show and how many edits and remixes and posters and artwork that people are making.”
