Jason Momoa, Jack Black reflect on the need of 'Minecraft' movie
Directed by Jared Hess, 'Minecraft' is set to hit theatres on April 4
Jason Momoa and Jack Black, who are currently busy promoting their upcoming movie Minecraft, believe that there is a need of such an adventure comedy film.
The duo is all set to feature in a movie based on the video game of the same name.
The film centres around four misfits who are puled through a mysterious portal into a strange cubic wonderland that flourishes on imagination.
During a promotional event, Black and Momoa expressed that the Minecraft movie is what the world needs right now.
Amid all the ongoing violence and hatred, the world needs something to spread love and entertainment.
The School of Rock famed star told The Hollywood Reporter, “We’ve got to work together, my God. There’s so much violence and war and hatred.”
“And that’s what I love about this movie - there’s a lot of love in it and there’s a lot of creativity. There is some anger and violence too, but in the end it’s about friendship and working together to make [the world] a better place.”
The Aquaman actor also seconded with Jack’s statement as he added, “I think everyone needs to escape a little bit right now.”
Momoa says that it is nice to have a fun adventure, giggle and laugh.
