Duchess Sophie attends Buckingham Palace reception as Beatrice welcomes baby

Duchess Sophie was seen mingling with Nigel Farage at a reception held at Buckingham Palace today. 

The event, which brought together newly elected MPs and members of the House of Lords, was also attended by King Charles, Queen Camilla, and Prince Edward.

The Duchess of Edinburgh, Sophie, who recently celebrated her 60th birthday, looked elegant in a cream Beulah London dress as she conversed with Farage, leader of the Reform party, and Deputy Leader Richard Tice. 

The event's timing coincided with the announcement of a joyous occasion within the royal family—Princess Beatrice’s second child.

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose, was born on January 22, 2025. 

The proud father shared a heartwarming first image of their newborn on Instagram today.
