Khloe Kardashian slams L.A. Mayor amid apocalyptic fires: 'You are a joke'

Khloe Kardashian expressed her outrage on Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass after the L.A. Fire chief laid bare the truth on LAFD budget.

On Friday, January 10, the TV personality, who was forced to evacuate her multi-million-dollar property this week, posted a snippet of a Fox 11 LA segment on her Instagram stories.

The video features a part from the interview with Gigi Graciette, during which the L.A. Fire Chief Kristin Crowley revealed that the mayor's budget cuts for the LAFD affected the firefight throughout Southern California.

"My message is the fire department needs to be properly funded. It's not," the Chief said.

The Kardashians star supported Crowley, writing, "I stand with you, Chief Crowley!" over the video.

"You spoke the truth, and you had tears in your eyes because I can tell you didn't want to say that, but it was THE TRUTH!!!!" Khloe, 43, added.

"Thank you for being honest @losangelesfiredepartment Chief Crowley,” she overlaid the text in another in another caption box before slamming the Mayor, "Mayor Bass, you are a joke!!!!"

It’s not just Khloe who is furious at Bass. The Mayor has been facing severe backlash after cutting around $17.5 million from the fire department budget for this fiscal year, just months before the apocalyptic fire began on Tuesday, per ABC 7.
