Ellen DeGeneres envious of Kelly Clarkson: Here’s why

Ellen DeGeneres is insecure about Kelly Clarkson’s success as a daily show host.

A source spilled to Star that Elle had some issues with Kelly after the singer took over talk show’s former time slot.

“Ellen is still tuning in and hearing how well Kelly is doing and how she’s crushing it in the ratings, how every celeb wants to get on her show,” claimed an insider.

The source noted that it wasn’t “so long ago that they all wanted to be Ellen’s friend. It really sticks in her throat”.

The reason Ellen is upset with Kelly is because of her “two-faced” personality,” per insider.

“Kelly had been a frequent guest on the show,” noted an insider.

The source mentioned, “Ellen’s aware of the rumours of people not supporting her when she was at her lowest and Kelly is top of her list!”

However, in a 2022 interview, the American Idol alum thanked Ellen after it was announced her talk show was getting put in the time slot.

“Nobody is going to fill Ellen’s shoes. I hold the Oprahs and the Ellens in such high regard,” continued the singer.

Kelly added, “Very few people can conquer what they conquered. My team is very stoked, and I believe in my team. But by no means am I filling anyone's shoes — I don’t want that pressure.”

Meanwhile, Ellen ended her show in 2022 after she was accused of a toxic work environment for her employees.

“When you're a public figure, you're open to everyone’s interpretation. And I’m sure you’ve heard the saying that, 'What other people think of me is none of my business,’” she explained during her Netflix special.

However, Ellen added, “You know the truth and that’s all that matters.”
