Jamie Foxx breaks silence after getting 'assaulted' on birthday
Jamie Foxx required stitches after being hit in the face with a glass while celebrating his 57th birthday
Jamie Foxx isn’t letting anything bring him down.
The comedian’s recent 57th birthday celebration took a shocking turn after a glass-throwing incident left the actor injured at a Los Angeles restaurant. Addressing the incident on Instagram, Foxx shared a message of resilience, writing, “The devil is busy … but I’m too blessed to be stressed.”
Foxx elaborated, “When your light is shining bright, they try to bring you darkness,” before adding, “but they don’t know that you’re built for it.” The actor also took a moment to thank fans for supporting his Netflix special, What Had Happened Was, now the top show on the platform.
The incident reportedly occurred at Mr. Chow, where, according to Foxx’s spokesperson via Page Six, “someone from another table threw a glass that hit him in the mouth.” Foxx required stitches but is recovering.
Police confirmed they responded to a call about an assault with a deadly weapon but deemed the claim “unfounded,” instead citing a physical dispute. No arrests were made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
