Prince William leaves Kate Middleton emotional at Buckingham Palace

Prince William and Kate Middleton got the spotlight as they appeared together at Buckingham Palace to welcome Qatari royals along with King Charles in the Princess of Wales's latest return to work on Tuesday.

The Prince of Wales turned cameras with his supporting gesture to his wife Princess Kate, leaving Catherine emotional as well. The royal couple's body language signals look clear and comprehensive during their latest royal outing.

A body language expert has shared thoughts on the heartfelt moment between the much-adored royal couple, saying: "He [William] is clearly doing his royal duty on this visit but his attention is on Kate and he sends signals to let us and her know that."

Judi James told The Sun: "The touch on the shoulder is one of both affection and primed or cocked attention. When she speaks his head instantly drops and tilts towards her, and he shows active listening skills."

She continued highlighting the emotional moment between Kate and William, adding: "This is unusual on any royal event like this, when the role of host usually means keeping eyes and ears on the visitors."

James went on praising the future King as she said: "But William very gently and lovingly shows where his primary interest lies right now and that is on his wife during her return to front-line duty."

She also explained Kate's condition in her own words, adding: "Kate's smile in the direction of the cameras forms as powerful and iconic a pose as her very regal, masked photograph did back at the Queen's funeral.

"This is more than the signature pitch-perfect, Duchenne smile that she has always worn on royal visits and which she could probably apply no matter what her inner emotions. It looks very personally radiant. Her beaming mouth expression comes with a dimpling of her cheeks and her eye-smile sees one brow slightly raised in a gesture of good humor and even fun."

She said: "It's the perfect response for the fans in terms of her current state of health and should possibly prompt a communal sigh of relief."
