Anne Hathaway to feature in adaptation of Colleen Hoover's 'Verity'
'Verity' is going to be directed by 'The Idea of You' director
Anne Hathaway is all set to return with another adaptation, this time with the author of It Ends with Us, Colleen Hoover.
The Oscar-winning actress will be working for the film version of the thriller novel, Verity with The Idea of You director Michael Showalter, confirms People.
Hathway is going to play the character of a struggling writer named Lowen Ashleigh, who badly needs money and accepts a job offer of a lifetime.
According to the synopsis of Verity, "Jeremy Crawford, husband of bestselling thriller author Verity Crawford (Hathaway), has hired Lowen to complete the remaining books in a successful series that his wife is unable to finish after a mysterious accident."
"Upon arrival at the lavish Crawford estate, Lowen slowly learns that things are not exactly as they seem with the discovery of a secret, unfinished manuscript that may divulge chilling admissions about the family’s past.”
It further describes: “As Lowen ingratiates herself with Jeremy and his young son Crew, she must discern if Verity’s writings are merely lurid works of fiction or an ominous warning by a deranged psychopath."
Anne’s previous film The Idea of You was also an adaptation of Robinne Lee’s romantic novel of the same name. She will now be featuring in Hoover’s written thriller that published in 2008.
