Kristin Cavallari spilled the beans from a strange interaction with Britney Spears, leaving an impression that the latter is indeed a clone of her old self.
During an episode of her Let's Be Honest podcast, Cavallari, 37, opened up about an unexpected and somewhat baffling exchange with the pop icon after she jokingly suggested that the Gimme More songstress might be a "clone" of her former self, a conspiracy theory that has circulated among fans.
Presumably, Spears, 42, caught wind of the comment. Soon after, Cavallari received a message from the pop icon’s manager, who wanted to connect the two.
As a longtime Princess of Pop fan, Cavallari was excited to hear from the Spears’ team. The manager added them to a group chat, where they were referred to as "icons coming together."
The Toxic singer herself then sent the podcaster a text message, but it was far from what the Cavallari expected. TV personality described the message as a "roller coaster"—a confusing, jumbled string of thoughts.
Despite the unusual nature of the text, Cavallari was excited about the connection and agreed to meet up with Spears when she was in Los Angeles in December.
But when the fashion designer reached out privately to confirm their plans, Spears never responded, leaving Cavallari frustrated and feeling like the interaction wasn’t entirely genuine.
In her typical playful style, Cavallari joked, "Well, now I do think you're a f---ng clone," suggesting the entire situation was too odd to be real.
