'One Direction' to reunite at Liam Payne's funeral?
'One Direction' members may pay a musical tribute to the 'Teardrops' singer
Late singer, Liam Payne’s funeral will be reuniting former One Direction band for the first time after their split.
The surviving members namely; Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson will be a paying tribute to their former band mate at the memorial. There is a chance that they might bid farewell to Liam by singing Elton John’s Candle in the Wind.
However, as per RadarOnline, the boys are yet to confirm about the musical tribute.
One of the insiders revealed: "It is such sad news and it has shocked the world. Aside from that, I do think that the members will do something to celebrate his life and pay tribute to him.”
"I can't see a full-scale tour, but I could see something along the lines of a show, a new track/ song and even something for his so, Bear."
"I feel that they will want to do something. It could also be one those things of a like a final performance/ time for them to do something together...something special”, added the source.
One Direction was formed in 2010 at X-Factor after Simon Cowell and Nicole Scherzinger found potential talent in all five boys. The duo decided to put them in a band together. The band split up in 2016.
Nine years later, Liam Payne died after meeting a horrendous accident on October 16. He fell down from the third floor of a balcony of a hotel in Argentina. His funeral is expected to take place next week in the UK.
