Tom Hank, American actor and filmmaker, is currently feeling down in the dumps, unsure how to face such a big loss at Box office.
The 69-year-old actor's recent film, Here, which cost them a massive amount $50million to produce, experienced a huge crash, earning just $5million in its opening weekend.
The movie was supposed to create a unique cinematic experience, but as per Zemeckis, this approach has become the reason of its failure.
Zemeckis shared, "I have to give all the credit to (former Miramax Head) Bill Block who had the courage and had the vision to understand the movie and make it."
"He’s the one guy who had the conviction to do this. That was fantastic. Thank God that he was there to do it," he added.
He went on explaining that the theatrical movie business is in a worse situation right now, and many directors and filmmakers are facing the same hurdles.
The fantasy drama Here, released on November 1, was based on Richard McGuire's 2014 graphic novel, starring Paul Bettany, Kelly Reilly and Michelle Dockery.
