Liam Payne wanted to overcome addictions for the love of his family and friends
Former One Direction band member, Liam Payne, who died tragically on October 16, was reportedly getting treatment for his addiction problem.
According to the sources, the Teardrops singer entered the rehab a week before his death.
He checked in to The Priory in July due to his drug and alcohol addiction issue.
Though, the 31-year-old star left the facility 48 hours into his 28-day Addiction Therapy Program, some close friends told the Sun.
The newspaper reported: “He gave it a go at overcoming his addictions once and for all. He really wanted to get his life on track. All his loved ones were "There was dismay when he managed just 48 hours of treatment.”
"He bravely sought help but couldn’t stay the course. He began taking chlordiazepoxide, a sedative used to treat symptoms of withdrawing from alcohol and drugs”, added the source.
Payne, 31, was desperate to overcome his addiction for the love of his family and friends. The treatment that he was taking, seemingly worked out which is why the rockstar checked out of the rehab himself.
According to the Sun, he tried his best to beat the demons, but he just couldn’t do it.
