Sean 'Diddy' Combs was arrested in New York City overnight after voluntarily traveling to the city, according to his attorney.

The music mogul was taken into custody at the Park Hyatt hotel in Midtown Manhattan and is currently being held at an FBI field office.

While details of the charges against Combs remain undisclosed, prosecutors are expected to unseal the indictment on Tuesday morning.

Combs, formerly known as Puff Daddy, will appear before a federal judge following the release of the charges.

This comes after a year of mounting legal battles for the rapper and producer, who has faced multiple lawsuits accusing him of physical and sexual abuse.

He has consistently denied the allegations. His attorney, Marc Agnifilo, called the latest indictment an "unjust prosecution," expressing confidence in Combs’ defense.

Cassie's lawyer declines to comment

In November, his former girlfriend, R&B singer Cassie, filed a shocking lawsuit accusing the music mogul of years of physical and sexual abuse, including beatings and rape. The case was swiftly settled in just one day.

However, months later, CNN aired disturbing hotel security footage showing Combs punching and kicking Cassie before violently throwing her to the floor.

In light of the recent indictment, Cassie’s attorney, Douglas Wigdor, addressed growing speculation, stating, "In response to the numerous inquiries we have received regarding the indictment of Sean Combs, neither Ms. Ventura nor I have any comment."

'He Is Not a Criminal': Sean Combs' Attorney Speaks Out

Diddy's attorney, Marc Agnifilo, issued a strong statement following the rapper's arrest, calling the prosecution "unjust" and defending Combs' character.

"We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office," Marc said.

He described him as a "music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist," emphasizing his decades of dedication to his family, career, and the Black community.

"He is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal," the statement continued. Agnifilo noted that Combs has fully cooperated with the investigation, voluntarily relocating to New York ahead of the charges.

"Please reserve your judgment until you have all the facts. These are the actions of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court," Agnifilo added.
