Buckingham Palace releases statement ahead of King Charles special day
Royal family is expected to celebrate King Charles' big milestone on Sunday
Buckingham Palace issued a new update about a key royal figure as King Charles set to celebrate the huge milestone of his reign.
The Palace official released a series of photos of Queen Camilla from her recent visit to the Royal Air Force Leeming.
Alongside the pictures, the royal family's spokesperson shared a message, which reads, "On a visit to @royalairforceleeming today, The Queen met @royalairforceuk personnel and their families, as well as Qatari Emiri Air Force pilots."
"Her Majesty, who is the Honorary Air Commodore for RAF Leeming, also heard about the welfare support offered at the base to aviators and their families. Allotments, chicken coups and beehives help to make up the 'Wellness Area.'"
"Before departing, The Queen watched a flypast of Hawk Jets, piloted by British and Qatari aviators who train together on site," the statement concluded.
Notably, the royal family's latest engagement update was shared ahead of King Charles's "second anniversary of his accession to the throne," which will be marked on Sunday.
