Halle Berry reveals hefty expenses following Olivier Martinez tumultuous split

Halle Berry is lifting the lid on her bitter custody battle with former husband Olivier Martinez following their tumultuous split.

According to Us Weekly, the Catwoman actress claimed in the court documents filed on Wednesday, September 4, that she has spent around $200,000 fighting for custody of the former couple's 10-year-old son, Maceo.

She wrote in the legal documents, “I have done everything possible to work with Olivier, to communicate with him, and to engage him in the decision-making process regarding our son in an amicable way."

Berry and Olivier tied the knot in 2013, welcoming their son in the same year.

However, their marriage came to an end in 2016, but the former couple didn't finalize their divorce until 2023 following a bitter divorce process.

In the initial stages, the two agreed to joint custody of Maceo.

It wasn't long until Berry made a major claim about the father of her child on Tuesday, September 3.

She candidly wrote against him in the legal documents, condemning his estranged behaviour.

She claimed that Olivier "has refused to co-parent and communicate with [Halle] in a child-centered way" and that "he has been oppositional and unmovable on all major issues relating to Maceo."

Apart from Maceo, Berry shares 16-year-old child with former boyfriend Gabriel Aubry.
