Cody Simpson celebrates Emma McKeon’s Olympic journey

Cody Simpson has honored his girlfriend, Olympic swimmer Emma McKeon, with a heartfelt tribute as she competes in Paris. 

On Saturday, Simpson shared a photo on social media of himself wearing a T-shirt that celebrated McKeon's achievements. 

The shirt, featuring multiple images of McKeon in the pool and showcasing her Olympic medals, was adorned with the word "Emma" and green and gold heart emojis.

The 27-year-old, who narrowly missed qualifying for the Olympics himself, has been actively supporting her during her quest for gold. 

She is celebrated as Australia's most successful Olympian, and Simpson’s tribute highlights his pride in her remarkable career.

Emma McKeon has revealed her intention to retire following the conclusion of the Paris Olympic Games. 

The announcement comes as McKeon, already celebrated as Australia’s most successful Olympian, secured her sixth gold medal with a victory in the 4x100m freestyle relay. 

This win brings her total to 12 Olympic medals since 2016, surpassing the legendary Ian Thorpe’s count of five golds.
