Uday Chopra finally breaks his silence on Nargis Fakhri break-up rumours
It has been several days since rumour mills have been churning out quite a bit of gossip about Uday Chopra and Nargis Fakhri splitting apart. After Nargis' sudden departure to New York, speculations were on the rise that the Azhar starlet had broken up with boyfriend Uday Chopra and had left due to a sudden nervous breakdown. After Nargis' spokesperson denied the speculations and claimed she had left due to health reasons, it was Uday's turn to shoot down the rumours.
In a statement, the actor said: “I normally don’t respond to gossip, but the press has been reporting a lot of fiction disguised as fact. I would just like to clarify that Nargis and I have been and still are very close friends.”
Chopra also looked a little miffed with the media for generating stories that were not true, according to him.
"The press has done a wonderful job of creating stories out of thin air and I applaud their creativity. However, these are all untrue."
He also issued similar clarifications on micro-blogging site Twitter, maintaining that him and Nargis were still 'close friends'.

The internet was rife with rumours a couple of days back that Uday had broken up with Nargis since he did not want to marry her. Also, the speculations further pointed out that the actor had done it via messaging service WhatsApp.
