Kate Beckinsale responds to Britney Spears' supportive post amid trolls
Britney Spears called out Instagram users to show some love to Kate Beckinsale
Kate Beckinsale expressed gratitude towards Britney Spears after the Hit Me Baby One More Time hitmaker supported her amid harsh social media trolls.
Over the weekend, the Underworld actress reposted 42-year-old Spears’s uplifting note on her Instagram Stories with a text overlay and a series of pink hearts, flowers, roses, and white heart emojis.
"Women supporting women is my favorite thing," Beckinsale, 50, wrote in the caption. "Thank you @britneyspears, warrior queen of all queens, for your incredibly sweet post. All the love right back."
Beckinsale’s message comes after Spears voiced her dismay on Instagram users criticizing and bullying Beckinsale over her appearance in recent months, accusing the actress of getting plastic surgery and lying about it, which Beckinsale vehemently denies.
"I adore Kate Beckinsale especially because she's from London Ek!!!" the Womanizer songstress began in the supportive message. "I realized how incredibly cruel people were talking about her IG saying she needs more age-appropriate content."
"She’s in her fifties and I thought it was pretty badass how she responded with a mini bow in her hair looking literally 4 years old," Spears emphasized that Beckinsale’s age-defying looks deserve love rather than hate in the comments.
