Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively & Hugh Jackman: Work, wife and friendship
Ryan Reynolds on working with wife Blake Lively and friendship with Hugh Jackman
Ryan Reynolds got candid about working with wife Blake Lively and his friendship with Hugh Jackman.
The 47-year-old actor jokingly told Comicbook.com that he hasn't shared screen with his 36-year-old wife because “can’t afford her fee.”
The Proposal star also added that Lively is “not half the friend that Hugh is,” while promoting his upcoming movie with the latter, Deadpool & Wolverine, before kidding and pretending to not know the cameras were on.
Jackman, 55, highlighted that he and Reynolds have been friends since before the couple met.
“He was there first,” Reynolds revealed, and got nostalgic about Hollywood’s Golden Age movies that cast real-life couples in leading roles.
“You know, in the old days, they all got to work together, hanging out,” Reynolds explained. “We got Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn … That’d be nice, I’d love to work with Blake.”
Even though Lively didn’t appear on screen, the actress did contribute to the forthcoming Marvel crossover in a unique way.
She bought the cast and crew a ping-pong table to help the co-stars relax between scenes.
