Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been welcomed as key royal figures by their close pal Serena Williams at the 2024 ESPY Awards.
The legendary tennis star hosted the star-studded award ceremony at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on July 11.
During her opening monologue, Serena called the California-based couple "actual royalty."
She said, "It's well, actually only pretty often that I get to be in a room with actual royalty, and tonight is no exception. Prince Harry and Meghan are here. Let's give it up for them."
However, later on, Serena also left the former royal couple 'awkward' with a playful warning.
"But please Harry and Meghan, try not to breathe too much tonight because this is my night and I don't want to be overshadowed by the accusations you guys are taking up too much oxygen," she joked.
In response, Harry and Meghan lauded the sports star with big smiles on their faces.
Speaking of 2024 ESPY Awards, Harry received the Pat Tillman Award for Service in the presence of his beloved wife Meghan.
The former Suits actress wore an elegant white floor-length gown whereas, the writer of Spare donned a stylish black suit.
