Kylie Jenner admits feeling 'vulnerable' due to mean comments
Kylie Jenner opens up about body image struggles on ‘The Kardashians’
Kylie Jenner broke down in tears on the latest episode of The Kardashians as she confided in her sister Kendall about the hurtful impact of negative comments on her appearance.
During a heart-to-heart conversation, Kendall asked about Kylie's well-being, leading Kylie to reveal her insecurities about looking "old" and struggling with self-doubt.
The makeup mogul said: "It's like a miracle that I still have confidence and I can still look in the mirror and think that I'm pretty because I just feel like after Paris there was this picture which for the first time I was like, 'Okay, we're not gonna wear a lot of makeup'.
"So it's like, I wear too much makeup and it's like, 'You're wearing too much makeup'. Then I go and I don't wear a lot of makeup and someone catches me in a weird light. You can look at pictures since I'm 13, I just have these lines [pointing to the lines of her cheeks that go to her mouth] but I've had them since I was a child."
Kylie added: "I just hear nasty things about myself all the time."
She continued: "I'm kind of like so numb to people talking about my looks at this point and I just wanna know why on the internet no one says anything or thinks that it's okay."
When a producer questioned her during a confessional about the influence of the media, the 26-year-old responded as follows: "I don't think it's this particular headline that makes me feel vulnerable or hits me harder, I think it's just after 10 years of hearing about it, 10 plus years, it just gets exhausting."
