Prince William focuses on ‘staying fit’ as heir prepares for the throne
Prince William sceptical of own health after King Charles cancer diagnosis
Prince William is making sure that he is staying fit and calm as he is made to fill in for the absence of King Charles and Kate Middleton at several events.
The Prince of Wales, who recently had to represent his cancer-stricken father King Charles at a D-Day event in Normandy, is “very positive” about taking over major royal duties, per royal photographer Samir Hussein.
“I think it remains very positive that Prince William has really stepped up to the mark with the king being out of action for a few months,” the royal photographer told Us Weekly.
“Prince William’s been through so much, obviously, with what’s been happening with Kate, which we didn’t know about for so long. I think he’s done remarkably well in really, really trying circumstances.”
Hussein shared that despite the difficult period, the heir to the throne is “still being himself on engagements, he’s still been joking when he meets with the public.”
He added that William is determined to “come through” for his father and his wife, Princess Kate in what appears to be “incredibly tough times for him.”
“He is still relatively new to the role and he’s waited a long time for it. So, it’s great to see him back out, very busy doing engagements and looking very fit and so long may that continue.”
