Gypsy-Rose Blanchard gets candid about painful breakup with Ken Urker
Gypsy-Rose Blanchard and Ken Urker started dating in 2017
Gypsy-Rose Blanchard shared her emotional experience of heartbreak and betrayal on the second episode of Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up.
While on a road trip with her current husband Ryan Scott Anderson, Blanchard, 32, revealed that her ex-fiancé Ken Urker had reached out to her stepmother Kristy via text, expressing his happiness about Blanchard's release from prison.
This revelation marked a painful reminder of their 2019 breakup.
"And of course Kristy let you know about it," Anderson responded, later adding, "Too late, buddy."
Then, Blanchard described how she and Urker dated for two years, starting in 2017 when she was behind bars following her guilty plea to second-degree murder about the death of her mother, Dee Dee.
"Even though he was in the free world, and I was in prison, this was my first actual relationship that was long-term," Blanchard said of Urker during the episode.
"Right before we were going to get married, he ended the relationship. It devastated me. I think he pretty much gave me every breakup line the book."
Blanchard tied the knot with Ryan Scott Anderson in a prison ceremony in July 2022, while she was still serving her sentence.
Later, she was released from prison in December 2023, marking a new chapter in her life.
