Moana 2 trailer brought about a wave of new music as it recently teased Dwayne Johnson's return to the franchise.
Walt Disney Animated Studios launched a new trailer for the upcoming installment of the 2016 film.
Auli’i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson are set to reprise their roles as Moana and Maui in the upcoming flick.
According to a synopsis: "Three years since her first voyage, Moana is on an expansive journey in search of people beyond the shores of Motunui.”
"Joined by Maui and a brand-new crew of unlikely seafarers, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced,” it further read.
This came over a year after the 52-year-old Fast and the Furious actor announced that the film is on the verge of receiving a live-action adaptation in 2026.
However, Disney Animation announced the big news in February.
Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger said in a previous statement: “Moana remains an incredibly popular franchise.”
For the unversed, Moana's first instalment garnered praise all across the world, ranking as the most-streamed film of the year.
