The Royal Family has received a stark warning from a royal expert that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may release new exposés on royal life in the coming months.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down from their senior roles within the Royal Family in 2020, shocking the world with their decision to become financially independent from the monarchy. The couple then moved from their home in Windsor to America.
Since settling in Montecito, California, they have worked on various projects, frequently speaking out about their time within the royal fold.
The Sussexes have often raised eyebrows with their controversial exposés, particularly during their interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, their docuseries in 2022, and Harry's memoir in 2023.
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told us that after the Oprah interview, Netflix docuseries, and Harry's memoir Spare, "the popularity of the royal family suffered and the Sussexes were considered to have gone rogue".
He added: "The biggest casualty was trust. It is unsurprising that King Charles and Prince William no longer trust Harry and Meghan."
Mr Fitzwilliams went on: "It also remains the case that, although it would be unthinkable for the Sussexes to resume their attacks whilst both King Charles and Catherine are seriously ill, there is always the possibility that they might in the future.
"What, for example, was in the 400 or so pages that Harry claimed he cut from Spare? Might he write a memoir of his early years? Might Meghan write her story?"
