King Charles is not willing to welcome Prince Harry back into the fold of the royal family because of a strong reason, claims a royal expert.

In 2020, Harry, along with his wife Meghan Markle, decided to step back from the Royal Family. Since then, he has made explosive and controversial comments about royal life, which are believed to have upset his family.

Although there are rumours that Harry desires reconciliation and to mend the rift with his father and brother, it won't be easy. A royal expert has emphasized that Harry must consider the impact of his actions before anticipating acceptance back into the royal fold, particularly from his father.

Photographer Arthur Edwards MBE told The Sun: "I think he is the prodigal son, in my view, and he's got to think about what he's doing and think what damage he's done."

The damage refers to Harry's comments in his Netflix series as well as in his 2023 autobiography 'Spare'. In his memoir, the Duke of Sussex branded Queen Camilla "dangerous" and accused her of sacrificing him on her own "personal PR altar".

Edwards added: "I imagine the King's unhappy with Harry being around people where he could learn stories and hear gossip and put it in his next book or his next podcast or next radio or TV interview and it looks like he's well-informed."

He added that Charles was hurt by Harry's words about Camilla in his memoir, and that he 'couldn't easily forgive' Harry for it. He continued: "I imagine the King's had strong words with him over it."

It has also been alleged by an expert that after the Sussexes' many "exposés on royal life", Prince William and King Charles "no longer trust" Harry and Meghan.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said: "After the Oprah interview, the Harry and Meghan Netflix documentary and the publication of Harry's memoir Spare, as well as the interviews he gave promoting it, the popularity of the royal family suffered and the Sussexes were considered to have gone rogue. The biggest casualty was trust. It is unsurprising that King Charles and Prince William no longer trust Harry and Meghan."

During Harry's recent trip to the UK at the beginning of May as he celebrated 10 years of the Invictus Games, he reportedly asked for a meeting with his father but was denied due to his father's busy work schedule.

A spokesperson said in a statement at the time, that the King was "busy" with a "full programme". They added: "The duke of course is understanding of his father's diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon."
