Savannah Chrisley recently opened up about how she dealt with trauma over the years, offering an insight into intensive therapy program.
Speaking exclusively on Unlocked podcast, the Chrisley Knows Best alum revealed that she went into an intensive therapy program, Onsite twice.
Reflecting on her learning from a journal she stored at the time, Chrisley referred to the program as a “game-changer.”
She revealed: “I think for me, the whole reason I was going was to help me deal with trauma,” she continued. “Like, in my life from childhood to now, there are so many different types of trauma.”
The 26-year-old said that she first journaled the entry about two years ago, detailing her first week of therapy.
She explained that trauma can “outlive an event because it lives in the body.”
“You'd see it with me, that something's happened and it's triggered something and I break down or fall apart or have a freakout, whatever it may be, because you don't realize that your body reacts before your mind reacts.”
Although, the reality star admitted that trauma has been a part of her life for “almost 20 years of my life.”
