Chad Michael Murray has recently addressed his marriage to One Tree Hill co-star Sophia Bush.
In a new interview with The Cut, Chad reflected on his relationship with Sophia and their marriage, which lasted for five months from April to September 2005.
"I was a baby. I didn’t know up, down, left, right," he told the outlet.
The Freaky Friday actor mentioned, "You move out there, and you go, ‘Well, what am I supposed to do now? Get married? That’s exciting!'"
The outlet reported that after the marriage ended, Sophia reportedly filed an annulment, alleging "fraud was the reason," but her request was denied.
At present, Chad has been married to Sarah Roemer since 2015, and the two share three children.
Earlier, Sophia discussed about her relationship with her co-star. Back in 2018, she told Andy Cohen on Radio Andy, "Everyone’s been 22 and stupid."
"People won’t let it go," she told Andy.
Sophia pointed out, "Can you imagine if the idiot you dated when you were a senior in high school – if people still would not stop talking to you about?"
Meanwhile, Chad shared his thoughts on relationships in the early aughts while speaking to E! News in November 2023.
"It's not one of those things that I want to go down the road of because there's just never a winner," said the Gilmore Girls actor.
Chad continued, "Things have changed so dramatically for me since I was a young man that I just try to live in this space—always."
"So, I don't think you'll ever find me saying anything negative or hurtful about anybody. I never will. That's just not me. I'm not going to do it," he added.
