Cristiano Ronaldo has been named as the best European player in history by the controversial Four Four Two.
The media org named the Al Nassr player’s career more relevant than Beckenbauer, Cruyff and Zidane, according to azscore.
The announcement reached public on Tuesday and the list consisted of 100 names. Against other great names from the Old Continent who are known to have made history and won a world title with their national teams, the Portuguese striker currently playing for Al Nassr won the competition.
Cristiano Ronaldo had iconic time periods with Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Juventus. As the best player of the tournament, Ronaldo won titles and individual awards in all teams. He also received top goal-scorer awards.
He won the 2016 edition of the Eurocup with the Portugal national team. Moreover, he is also the all-time top scorer for the Portuguese team. According to official matches, with 891 goals, Ronaldo is also the leading active goal scorer and the top goal scorer in football history.
