Fans may be looking at Tom Hardy as Marvel’s beloved anti-hero one last time.
Sony Motion Picture Group Chairman Tom Rothman revealed during a conversation with Deadline that the upcoming Venom 3 will be the last.
“The third and last Venom, is going to be huge,” he told the outlet.
When the title for the movie, Venom: The Last Dance, was revealed, fans began speculating that this would be a conclusion.
With Rothman’s announcement, it appears that the theory actually was true.
Plot details for the under wraps but the story is to pick up after the fifth instalment in Sony's Spider-Man Universe, particularly after set photos seemingly indicated that the movie will pick up shortly after Eddie Brock's Spider-Man: No Way Home crossover cameo.
Alongside Hardy in the titular role, the cast will see Juno Temple in an undisclosed lead role, as well as Chiwetel Ejiofor and Clark Backo, with Kelly Marcel, who penned the script for all three movies, making her directorial debut.
Venom began its trilogy run in 2018, exploring the beginnings of the anti-hero. The sequel soon followed in 2021, titled, Venom: Let There Be Carnage.
