Girls Aloud rocked the stage after 11 years as they returned for the reunion tour, The Girls Aloud Show.
According to Daily Mail, the quartet reunited on Friday, May 17, at 3Arena in the heart of Dublin for the first time since its last performance over a decade ago.
The pop group kicked off their tour in Dublin with a tear-jerking tribute to the late member of the band, Sara Harding, who passed away after battling with cancer in 2021.
Moreover, the remaining members Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts, Kimberley Walsh and Cheryl, who formed the iconic band alongside Harding, dedicated the whole tour to the late member.
The all-girls group moved the crowd to tears on the opening night of the tour with a rendition of I’ll Stand By You with a video featuring Harding and her vocals in the background,
Additionally, Harding, Coyle and Roberts, both 38, Cheryl, 40, and Walsh, 42, formed this band in 2002 after being crowned as the Popstars: The Rivals winners the same year.
Later they reunited for their 10th anniversary in 2012 with new music. A second reunion was planned for their 20th anniversary. However, it came with the unfortunate news of Sarah’s cancer diagnosis.
