Sofía Vergara expresses her wish to be a ‘fun’ grandmother in the future
Sofía Vergara reflects on her relation with her 32-year-old son in a new interview
Sofía Vergara has recently confessed she wants to be a fun grandmother someday.
In a new interview with PEOPLE, the Modern Family alum, who is a mother to her only child, said, “I think I'll be a fun grandmother.”
“On the weekends, he just drops his dog at my house,” remarked the 51-year-old.
Sofia explained, “And I used to drop him at my mom’s house during the weekend so that I could at least go out every once in a while.”
Elaborating on how she’s close to her son, the Chef actress stated, “It is great that I had him young because now I’m going to be 52 and he’s 32.”
“I wish I was older sometimes because I would’ve been more mature, more prepared to be a mother, but that was what I got and what happened,” she continued.
However, Sofia told the outlet, “It is fun because I kind of grew up together with my son.”
Reflecting on motherhood, the Wild Card actress stated, “It’s an experience that’s unique.”
“It changes you and it’s very rewarding and gives you a lot of headaches too,” she noted.
While discussing about not having more children in her seven-year marriage to former husband Joe Manganiello, Sofia pointed out, “There’s things in life that might sound like good ideas, but they’re not.”
“I was a mother already. I know what it means to be a good mother or to try to be the best mother that you can, and that takes a lot of sacrifices, takes a lot of energy,” she added.
