Vincenzo Cassano brought his chilling aura back to the screen with a windy entry in Queen of Tears.
Song Joong Ki reprised his role from Vincenzo as titular lawyer in the Netflix drama of Baek Hyun-woo, portrayed by Kim Soo Hyun, and Hong Hae-in, played by Kim Ji Won amid their divorce battle.
The 38-year-old South Korean actor, emanating the aura of mafia, made a cameo appearance in TvN’s drama in episode 8, which aired on Sunday, to handle the divorce case.
His stellar performance in the 2021 Netflix hit thriller directed by Kim Hee Won, who is now co-directing Queen of Tears, left an indelible mark on the screen.
Additionally, his cameo appearance as mafia lawyer led to a surge in Queen of Tears ratings. According to Nielsen Korea, the first half of the episode achieved its highest rating so far.
The show recorded an average nationwide rating of 16.1 per cent, marking a notable new record.
Previously, the rom-com featured special appearances and cameos by several stars, including Oh Jung Se, Ko Kyu Pil, and Im Chul Soo.
French actor Sebastian Roche and German actor Dieter Hallervorden also joined the list.
