Cristiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi: Who has higher market value?
Al-Nassr striker has long history of rivalry with Argentine football star
Lionel Messi is worth €30 million, which doubles Cristiano Ronaldo‘s current market value of €15 million, as per Transfermarkt.
However, the difference between the two players' market value was bigger before, according to BolaVIP.
The Argentine superstar saw his value decrease by €5 million recently, while the Portuguese striker’s price tag has been the same since June 2023.
Since he joined Inter Miami, this is the first time Messi’s market value has dropped.
When he left Paris Saint-Germain for MLS, Messi was worth €35 million.
However, Messi has had a higher market value than Ronaldo since 2009.
The last time Ronaldo possessed a higher market value than Messi was in 2008, when the Portuguese (then 23) was worth €60 million, while the Argentine (then 21) was valued at €55 million.
Ronaldo’s worth was surpassed by Messi since then, along with him reaching his highest market value at 30 in 2018 (€180 million).
Notably, the best Cristiano did in this aspect came in 2014, whereas, at 29 he reached a €120 million value.
