Timothée Chalamet channels Bob Dylan for first time on the set of upcoming biopic: Photos
Timothée Chalamet will play a young Bob Dylan in the forthcoming movie by James Mangold
Timothée Chalamet has recently been spotted for the first time from the set of upcoming biopic, A Complete Unknown on Sunday.
In the photos shared via PEOPLE, Chalamet embodied Bob Dylan wearing a ‘60s attire and holding a guitar case in his hand as he strolled the New York City streets in jeans, a green jacket, an orange scarf and yellow bag on his back.
Earlier in 2023, director James Mangold told Collider that Chalamet would be singing in character as Dylan in the movie.
“It’s such an amazing time in American culture, and the story of Bob's — a young, 19-year-old Bob Dylan coming to New York with two dollars in his pocket and becoming a worldwide sensation within three years,” said the 60-year-old.
Mangold mentioned, “First being embraced into a family of folk music in New York and of course kind of outrunning him at a certain point as his star rises so beyond belief.”
“It's such an interesting true story and about such an interesting moment in the American scene,” stated the movie-maker.
Meanwhile, the biopic, whose production started in late March, features other starlets including Woody Guthrie, Joan Baez and Pete Seeger, who, Mangold chimed in and added, “All have a role to play in this movie.”
