Kristen Wiig recently offered an insight into her relationship with Carol Burnett, admitting that working with the legendary performer made her a “better person.”

The 50-year-old comedian exclusively told PEOPLE at the Los Angeles premiere of the upcoming Apple TV+ series on Thursday, March 14 that Carol has “become a very good friend of mine.”

Speaking of Burnett’s sense of humor, Wiig shared: “We have dinner and talk and text and she's so funny.”

“I did press with her yesterday and she was cracking everybody up.”

“And I am a better person from knowing her. I just love her,” she added.

During a conversation with Entertainment Tonight, the Saturday Night Live alum expressed her desire to work with the comedy legend.

Sharing her experience, Wiig, who stars as Maxie Simmons on Palm Royale admitted: "I literally said today, 'I still can't believe that we work together.”

"I wanna like verify that it's her. I'm like, 'It's Carol, right? Yeah, I mean, it's Carol,” she gushed.

Kristen continued to praise Burnett’s charisma, further adding: “And for me, just with sketch comedy and everything she did for every person, every woman, she's such an inspiration, it was the crew, everyone. I mean, she's just a dream."

Burnett returned the kind gesture, complimenting the Bridesmaid star.

She added: "When I heard who was going to be in this project, I didn't even have to read it — I have to work with Kristen.”

For the unversed, Kristen and Burnett are set to share the screen-space on Apple TV+ Palm Royale, that is slated to feature its first three episodes starting March 20.
