Coldplay joined forces with the global sensation BTS to release the chart-topping single My Universe in 2021.

The track, produced by renowned Swedish hitmaker Max Martin, debuted to eager fans on September 24, 2021, marking a historic moment in music.

Lead singer Chris expressed his admiration for BTS during an interview on Zayne Lowe's Apple Music One show, describing the boy band as a delight to collaborate with.

Reflecting on the creative process, Martin emphasized the genuine joy and gratitude he felt working with BTS, despite any initial skepticism.

The inspiration for My Universe stemmed from a simple text message, which sparked the idea for the song's title.

Martin shared that the chorus spontaneously came to him while driving, leading to an immediate recording session upon returning to the studio.

Following their initial communication, Coldplay traveled to Korea to collaborate with BTS, cementing their partnership.

BTS has openly declared Coldplay as their favorite rock group.

The anticipation for a potential collaboration between the two globally acclaimed acts heightened following the viral success of Jin's cover of Coldplay's Fix You.

Tensions have surfaced between fans of both bands following their highly anticipated collaboration.

Recent discussions on social media platform X have seen some devoted BTS fans expressing concerns that Coldplay may be leveraging their association with the Korean group for additional recognition.
