Ice Spice has recently expressed her admiration for Lana Del Rey.
Ice, who’s honoured as the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Hitmaker at the upcoming March 6 ceremony, gave “shout-out” to fellow honourees Charli XCX and Dolly Parton.
In a new interview with Billboard, Ice also revealed Lana as one of her favourites among singers.
“I would say Lana Del Rey,” said the 24-year-old.
She told the outlet, “I’m obsessed with her, and I feel like all of her songs are hits, even the ones that aren’t as big as the others.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Ice shared she received valuable advice from Taylor Swift with whom she collaborated on the remix of Midnights single Karma in 2023.
“When I was in the studio with Taylor, like, I’ll never forget that,” remarked the Deli hit-maker.
Ice added, “Taylor told me, ‘No matter what, just keep making music and everything’s going to be fine.’”
Meanwhile, Ice also opened up about her upcoming project, calling it some of her “best work” while looking for “a really hard beat”.
“If the beat doesn’t instantly move me — like if I don’t physically feel the beat of the speakers — then I’m just going to keep moving on to the next one,” she told the outlet.
Ice added, “As soon as I know, I know I have that beat. It’s up from there.”
