A royal commentator has expressed his concerns about the "fragile" royal family as they are going through a difficult situation due to health crisis and shocking incident of King Charles's second cousin Lady Gabriella's husband Thomas Kingston's death.
Cameron Walker, GB News royal correspondent, warned King Charles about his "slimmed down monarchy."
"What it does show us is that this slimmed down monarchy, which has become very slim indeed in the last month or two, is quite fragile because we only had one senior member of the British royal family in attendance at this memorial service for King Constantine of Greece," claimed Walker.
It emerged after the Prince of Wales cancelled his godfather King Constantine's memorial service, citing "personal reasons".
On the other hand, the Princess of Wales has been out of action since her abdominal operation in january, while King Charles is currently battling cancer after his prostate surgery. William and Queen Camilla have also cut back on their royal duties to spend times with the ailing royals. Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and Prince Andrew have already stepped back from their royal roles.
Royal biographer Phil Dampier previously said that the absence of Harry, Meghan and Andrew means 'the slimmed down monarchy looks a bit too slim'.
He went on explaining that that it 'must raise the question of whether some minor royal jobs could be carried out by others like Princess Beatrice or Eugenie'. There have also been calls for Zara and Mike Tindall to do more. Princess Anne's warning has been 'proved right'.
