Drew Barrymore debuts new 'big hair' she 'cannot lie about'

Drew Barrymore is debuting a new hairstyle with longer hair.

Thanks to celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton, the 48-year-old daytime television anchor transformed from playful waves to a huge blowout on Monday.

Appleton, 40, and Riverdale actress Camila Mendes were invited by the Charlie's Angels star to participate in a makeover segment on The Drew Barrymore Show.

The host, 48, first introduced her guests on the show and said she had “some fun questions” that were tucked away in “fabulous old velcro curlers.”

Minutes before the makeover began, Barrymore removed her extensions during the live show as she asked hairstylist Chris Appleton about his plans regarding the two ladies. “I think I’m gonna do you both,” the U.K.-born stylist said regarding their makeovers.

“While you dismantle whatever’s — I’m interested to see what comes out of that,” Appleton told Barrymore while making his way over to start on Mendes, 29.

“A lot,” the host jested while removing her hair extensions.

Appleton took a bright yellow roller and took out a sheet of paper from within as she started to style the Upgraded actress for a straightforward "day-to-night" look.

Appleton claimed that Mendes' face and cheekbones would be accentuated by the look he selected for her. She admitted that she enjoys the "playfulness" of having a few strands of hair hanging in front of her face before reading her question in front of the studio audience.

“Would you rather your date be 15 minutes early? Or 15 minutes late?” Mendes’ first question read.

“Fifteen minutes late, because I’m usually running 15 minutes late, so then I won’t feel as guilty when he shows up," Mendes replied after a brief pause from all three.
