Prince Andrew celebrates 64th birthday with no honour of raised flags
Prince Andrew is set to be hit with three new films and series
Today marks Prince Andrew's 64th birthday, yet there have been no public expressions of well-wishes from the Royal Family as the King continues to maintain his distance from him.
The Duke of York was photographed horse riding in Windsor, sporting a maroon jumper. He was also captured behind the wheel of his green Range Rover, with additional images showing him out riding on the estate.
Since the Prince's association with individuals connected to Jeffrey Epstein surfaced in court documents, he has largely remained out of the public eye at his Royal Lodge.
Following the release of these documents, any discussions about reintegrating the Duke into royal activities were swiftly dismissed, and the King has upheld his decision to keep his brother at arm's length.
Charlotte Griffiths told GB News last month that Charles will keep his brother “at arm’s length.”
She said: “This is the first time since Charles became King he realised, ‘this is never going to happen, I am going to have to be tough on my brother.’
“He will have to be kept at arm’s length forever more.”
This isn't the first time there has been a lack of royal acknowledgment surrounding the Duke of York's birthday amidst his sexual assault case.
In 2022, Westminster Abbey stated that it would no longer commemorate Prince Andrew's birthday by ringing the bells.
Buckingham Palace also announced in the same year that the prince was stripped of his military titles, and his royal patronages were reverted to the late Queen.
The most recent instance of the Royal Family's social media accounts celebrating Andrew's birthday dates back four years ago to 2020.
Prince Andrew is now facing the prospect of three new films and series centered on his life story and his controversial Newsnight interview.
