Dakota Johnson speaks up about Gen Z co-stars while working on the set of Madame Web
Dakota Johnson has recently explained why she’s annoyed by her Gen Z co-stars in her new movie, Madame Web.
“I love them, and they annoy me, and I love them,” said the 34-year-old while speaking to Late Night with Seth Meyers.
When Seth questioned how Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor and Isabela Merced made her feel the oldest, the Fifty Shades star replied, “I was irritated on a generational level all the time, every second of the day”.
“I’m not that much older than them,” argued Dakota.
Earlier, in an interview with E! News, the Persuasion actress revealed she was excluded from her Gen Z co-stars’ group text chat.
“I'm older than them, and they make sure that I'm aware of that,” she told the outlet.
Sydney confessed to E! News that she was “nervous” after meeting Dakota for the first time for the new movie.
“’Do I say hi? What do I do?’ I was so excited. I've been a fan of hers since I was a lot younger,” remarked Anyone But You actress.
Sydney opened that her parents didn’t let her watch 2015’s Fifty Shades of Grey.
Meanwhile, Celeste discussed about Dakota, stating, “It was genuinely so refreshing to have that kind of leadership from her on set.”
“She really is like a big sister,” added Isabela.
