NOWSHERA: At least six children, five Afghan and a Pakistani, died of measles on Wednesday in Nowhshera’s Kund Khairabad refugee camp.
In-charge basic health centre Dr. Fazal Ameen, the deaths occurred within four days.
According to Dr. Fazal Ameen to curb the disease, children in the Kund Khairabad refugee camp and adjacent villages have been injected anti-measles vaccines and administered vitamin drops as well.
The physician added that an awareness campaign has also been launched in the area.
