During a performance in Los Angeles, Ava Max was slapped in the face by a fan, resulting in a scratch on the inside of her eye.
The 29-year-old singer was in the middle of her show on Tuesday night when the incident occurred, but quickly recovered and continued the performance.
Video footage of the incident shows Ava jerking backward after being hit by the fan, but she quickly resumes her dance routine before leaving the stage.
The Sweet But Psycho singer took to Twitter to reveal: “He slapped me so hard that he scratched the inside of my eye. He's never coming to a show again.”
“Thank you to the fans for being spectacular tonight in LA though!!”
Ava's post was flooded by supportive comments form fans. “So Sorry that happened Ava We love you,” wrote one fan.
Another added: “You deserve so much better,' while a third posted: 'I’m so sorry that this happened to you, people are so disrespectful it’s horrible.”
Just a few days before Ava Max was hit by a fan during her performance, Bebe Rexha, another popular singer, was hit in the face by a phone thrown by a fan while performing in New York City.
According to the police, Bebe Rexha was hospitalized due to the injuries she sustained after being hit by a phone thrown by a fan. She suffered from "redness, swelling, bruising, and a laceration to her eye and substantial pain."
The fan responsible for the incident, Nicolas Malvagna, was arrested on the spot.
