King Charles III held an audience with King Abdullah II of Jordan at Buckingham Palace on Thursday.
It was King Charles first meeting with King Abdullah of Jordan after becoming monarch following the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth II in September.
It was a rare and historical occurrence when King Charles came face to face with another king who spent much of his life in England.
According to My London, King Abdullah has spent so much of his youth in England, and a significant part of it in the US.
He is said to have always struggled with Arabic and speaks English as his first language, earning him the nickname of the ‘English king from the desert’.
He arrived in London on Thursday afternoon and was greeted by King Charles at Buckingham Palace.
The two Kings discussed expanding bilateral cooperation between their countries.
King Abdullah has been Jordan King since the passing of his father in 1999.
